The set up means itÃÂs perfect and private for 2 couples each with their own en-suite.
The location is perfect right on the harbour front with no steep hills.
The car parking space was handy.
We have been twice in last 6 months and will be back.
Stayed for 4 nights with elderly mother. Such a good location with views across the harbour and Torbay. Always something to see.
Access to the apartment was very easy with a lift just outside the door.
We liked it so much that we have booked again next March.
16 Moorings Reach is a lovely, clean and well equipped house, overlooking Brixham harbour, with stunning views. It is conveniently situated a short walk from the town centre but far enough away to be in a quiet location. It is set in a 22 year old development, of similar houses and apartments, built on the site of an old ship building yard and has been designed to blend in well with the surrounding area. As no.16 is on the second row of houses the harbour view is over the building in front, but this does not cause any great obstruction of the harbour and Torbay.
There are two flights of stairs from the car park, but you can enter the upper floor of the property directly from the road as it is built into a hill side.
A wonderful apartment with outstanding views of the harbor, marina and local seal :-), ideally situated with short walks to local shops, beach and restaurants with its own parking close by which is a bonus in Brixham. The apartment is in excellent condition and immaculately clean which gave us confidence during the pandemic, we would defiantly like to stop again.
Gorgeous view & flat. We enjoyed watching the boats sailing in & out of the harbour. You can see the cruise liners moored in Torbay, Would recommend the skate at Simply Fish & the cream tea at either Ella's (they have a secret garden at the back which is lovely) or Crab Indoors. Book evening meals in advance if you can. Almost everywhere we tried was fully booked for the week or you had to join a queue. Lots of fish & chip shops & cafes.
This little flat is absolutely lovely
Spotless and comfortable
Everything you need is provided
The bonus is the wonderful views from every window
It was also very good to be able to get in early
We stayed at No 5 Bay View for a week I. June 2021. The flat was spotless and is beautifully appointed, with stunning tri-aspect views across the town, the harbour and the sea. We had one tiny issue with the shower which was fixed by the handy man within about 20 minutes, very impressive. We chose not to use the allocated parking spot as itÃÂs down by the harbour and tricky to manoeuvre with pedestrians around. Plenty of parking on the roads above the flat. (Note you canÃÂt park that close to the flat and the entrance is halfway down some steps). As this is the middle flat, it does suffer from noise from the upstairs and downstairs flat.
Had an excellent stay at Coral in May. The views was fantastic of the harbour.
Very clean, spacious and comfortable.
Very comfortable beds and lovely thick carpets in the bedrooms.
Free complementary wine, biscuits and tea and coffee.
Will certainly be coming back again next year.
Thanks for a very pleasant stay.
Definitely would stay here again. Thank you for the welcome refreshments after a long drive. Brixham is beautiful and plenty to see and do. Free parking is useful too. Well organised by all staffs at Brixham holiday homes. Would recommend your services and Midship apartment
It is a nice apartment though small. The two bedrooms on the main floor are very compact and the beds are double and we didn't have any bed side tables in the room. We had a shower and a loo. The kitchen is also very small with mostly everything we needed except a washing machine would have been useful. We didn't use the downstairs bedroom or bathroom as they seemed cold and a bit musty though the bedroom was bigger as was the bed. The sundeck outside was lovely to sit out on if the sun was shining. We really liked that. There are a lot of steps and can be awkward loading and unloading the car. The roads can be very narrow at the top of the steps. Over all a good stay just think it felt a bit musty and maybe it had been empty for a while.
Lovely apartment, great facilities. Fab location. This is our second time at the at cove stayed in 2019 at the end of June.
Will be returning again !!!
A very enjoyable stay in devon in october Osprey 1 well positioned very warm and comfortable spacious and brilliant views.
A lovely week at this apartment, very comfortable and very well equipped. Sadly the weather wasn't great so we couldn't use the outside space, the only downside we found was that there is no small window to open in the bedroom for fresh air at night, we wouldn't sleep with the door open. Well located, fairly easy walk to Brixham harbour took about 20 minutes for us, my husband has mobility problems,so would be quicker for more able people. We were going to look round the museum located next door but discovered it only opened one day while we were there so we missed it, never mind there's always next time. The apartment is well situated for Paignton,Torquay and surrounding areas, we went to Cockington which is lovely, not been for many years, and we got the best weather of the week that day. Lots of lovely cafes, pubs to go to, this was the first week of indoor eating ope...
We stayed as a family of 3 (with a small toddler) for a week and found Curlew 5 to be perfect for us, small and cosy but more than enough room for a family our size. The apartment is set in a very peaceful and quiet security gated complex, we felt very safe throughout our stay. Views out to sea are superb and there is a nice big balcony to sit out on of an evening. Kitchen is compact and well equipped. The walk into brixham is about 15 mins but be aware it is a very steep walk there and back, just something to note if you have a pushchair like we did. We will come to Brixham again and would happily stop at Curlew 5 or any other apartments at the Cove.
WeÃÂve just returned from a short break at Plover 2 and our first stay at The Cove. Lovely apartment which despite not being front line, still has amazing views over the block in front. It was scrupulously clean as was the bedding and towels (which smelt lovely) and was so well equipped, there wasnÃÂt anything more that we could have needed. Due to the current climate, we opted to cook and eat in each evening which wasnÃÂt a problem at all as the kitchen had everything we needed, all quality branded products. The WiFi worked well and we were able to sign into our Netflix account on the TV to watch a film when the weather decided to take a turn for the worse. Such a shame we couldnÃÂt make use of the sun beds, BBQ and outside seating on the balcony, fingers crossed next time the weather will be kinder to us. There was a supply of tea, coffee and milk along with a cake left which was a nic...
Had an amazing week despite the dodgy weather. Great location with stunning views.
Full size bath would have been nice but not possible in the space.
The location is stunning and the outside space is so lovely (this is very rare in brixham). We found the management team very helpful and they had sorted a change of mattress prior to our arrival due to other people saying it was uncomfy. ItÃÂs now fine. The flat was very tidy and has great appliances. The access to the beach is so easy and we loved the cafe there and the area is so peaceful.
The 2 slight negatives for us are itÃÂs a bit small for a family of 4. There are also no curtains in the main bedroom (just thin blinds) so light pours in in the morning meaning we were up very early every morning.
The pool was also closed due to covid which was a real shame as itÃÂs part of the reason we booked the apartment.
We stay in the this lovely road for ease of access into the town and to the harbour. The view is the best. I could never tire of it. Everything you could possibly need is supplied in this lovely house. The downstairs loo takes a little negotiating, but it made for a laugh. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower pressure was great. We did ask for the tv (on the top floor) to be looked at, but we don't know if it was as we didn't hear from anyone to let us know what was happening with it. A G&T on the terrace on the front was lovely in the sunshine of the evening.
Wow! A fantastic location with spectacular views from every floor. An integral garage and easy location to reach on arrival, which in Brixham is a bonus. Watching the harbour activities and daily life in Brixham was so interesting. The house had lovely features and very interesting decor. It was extremely comfortable and certainly kept you fit with all the stairs. Not the place for young children or adults with mobility problems.
Great holiday but fortunately there were only two of us not eight. Attention to detail lacking:
1: front door insecure particularly in strong winds - is liable to open even when locked - old sticker tells you to shut firmly.....obviously not a new problem.
2: plastic plants on dining room window ledge (old past their sell by date) obstructing full view and giving a poor impression.
3: grill on new double oven poor
4: fridge leaking water on floor - already reported in by a previous reviewer
5: multiple chipped mugs and glasses. Impossible to find sets of 3+ glasses.
6: saucepans difficult for 2 of us trying to cook pasta etc but feel really sorry for a previous reviewer trying to cook for a family of 4+
7: curtains in the lounge do not cover the windows so impossible to see tv in bright sunlight.
1: property comes with super harbour parking
2: we can see that the rooms e...
Really enjoyed our stay at Smugglers for my husbands 70 birthday as a surprise. Very cosy and all amenities . Beautiful views over the harbour. Luckily weÃÂre pretty fit do the steep steps no barrier. Would definitely come again and hopefully with another couple once the restrictions are lifted again. Thanks for a memorable stay
Comfortable warm cottage, comfy bed, everything you need. Gets you fit walking up and down steps each day! One downside for us was the house in front having some scaffolding up which didnt block the view completely but was always evident. Luckily no workmen apparent as this would have been a problem.
Great having a Smart tv and access to Netflix during Storm Dennis!!!
What a view! Walking into the house for the first time you really are wowed by the view which makes this property one of the best weÃÂve stayed in. We enjoyed our stay with plenty of space in the house for a family of 5
Yes parking is a bit of an issue but we got lucky being able to park just down from the house (neighbours were not happy as we parked outside to load the car though)
Brixham has lots to offer with lots of great eating places within 10 minutes walk - the steps kept us fit but mean the location isnÃÂt ideal for people with mobility issues or young children.
Would definitely recommend this property
Thank you for a wonderful stay at Seascape. The views were jaw dropping, the place was spotless and exceptionally comfortable and the service we received due to several Covid-related date changes was second to none. I'd highly recommend both Brixham Holidays and Seascape and would love to return.
Spent last week at this wonderful place. John and Em, fantastic hosts. Arrived to a lovely, warm welcome. Fantastic location, cracking views. Very highly recommended. Thank you, John and Em.
Everything was perfect. The property was very clean, modern and comfortable. The location was great. Thank you
Great views and location overlooking Brixham Harbour. Perfect cottage for 2 persons. Hope to be back.
Fantastic stay in Brixham with Brixham Holidays, as always customer service was excellent which is why we rebooked our next holiday with them whilst there! Great views and lovely apartment - thanks so much can't wait to be back
The house was interesting but a few points to note:
For anyone taller than 4 foot the stairs are a challenge due to restricted heights, and the property is on four floors!
The house is right on a busy road, there isnÃÂt even a pavement so you need to be very careful leaving and entering.
The kitchen is quirky but is in need of updating, as does the cooking equipment ie pots and pans, hon, microwave etc.
On a plus side, the views are great, lots of bathrooms and location, road aside, is great with 2 minute walks to pubs, shops and cafes. The WiFi was good (although the TV needs updating) and the service from Brixham Holidays was very good.
Lovely cottage, very spacious, amazing views, we really enjoyed it and will definitely book again, weather could have been better but still really enjoyed watching the activity in the harbour and the bay
Thank you very much for providing a great home from home for our stay in Brixham. The Retreat has excellent accommodation, with fantastic views and is ideally placed to leave the car on the drive and walk into the town, explore the harbour and South West Coastal walks. And it is very dog friendly with a secure, enclosed rear garden. Despite the weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We booked this house for a short break to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. There were 6 adults and the house had ample space for us all and with 3 bathrooms it was perfect.
The view is amazing and although the weather wasnÃÂt very kind to us it was still lovely to sit in the window and look out over the harbour. Lovely area outside the property that benefits from the same glorious views. Inside the property is well equipped, spotlessly clean and furnished to a good standard.
The road to the property is very narrow and had some questionable parking along it but once you get to the property there is a garage and a drive so ample parking for 2 cars.
Due to itÃÂs elevated position there are a lot of steps down to the harbour but completely worth it to have the view.
Would definitely recommend this house and will be booking another stay.
We were also very impressed with Brixham Holi...
Accommodation exactly as advertised - we had a lovely week and loved the views from the balcony
Accommodation very spacious
