Pilot's Perch is a traditional cottage set in an elevated position giving visitors an excellent viewpoint over Brixham’s historic fishing port and Torbay.
Internally, Pilot's Perch has been well finished and beautifully decorated throughout. Benefitting from a bright, open living area with Juliet balcony allowing the seaside atmosphere to extend into the living room. Ideally located for the picturesque harbour, where you can watch the fishermen land their catch.
The harbourside is flanked by a selection of family run restaurants offering fresh fish and the finest of local produce. For a more casual sample of the local catch, head to one of the harbourside shops offering oysters and fresh shellfish, or for the less adventurous, a hearty portion of fish and chips. The position gives visitors viewpoint to watch commercial and pleasure crafts come and go – a real boat lover’s paradise.
For the walkers, there aren't many better places to stay than Pilots Perch, with walks around the marina to the lifeboat station which stands alongside Brixham's breakwater, the Napoleonic Fort at Berry Head, Churston Woods all found along the stunning South West Coastal Path.
Those looking to entertain the family should head to Paignton, home to a fine selection of holiday entertainment including Paignton Zoo, the Paignton to Dartmouth Steam Railway and Quaywest Waterpark, or venture a couple of miles further to Torquay and find top attractions such as Living Coasts and the Babbacombe Model Village.
Parking - Torbay council no longer issue physical parking permits. If you wish, you can order a virtual permit on line at a cost of approx. £35 per week. These permits are valid for all of the 32 council pay and display car parks in the wider Torbay area including the 4 in Brixham – very useful if you plan to travel around the area. Full details and a web link will be sent with your arrival information approx. 6 weeks before your holiday begins.
