The Cove development just outside of Brixham sits next to Battery Gardens and the South West Coastal Path in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Osprey 2 is on the front row of this development in what is quite probably the best location, with uninterrupted sea views from the lounge, double bedroom, and large decked balcony.

Whether relaxing in the lounge or eating alfresco on the large balcony, be entranced by the amazing views surrounding you - to your right are the green woods of Battery Park (National Trust Woodland) and straight ahead, the majestic blues of Torbay unfold. The large balcony is accessed from the master bedroom and the lounge. The on site heated swimming pool is sure to be a hit with the chiuldren. A dedicated parking space is included as are wi-fi and quality bed linen & towels.

The apartment is furnished and decorated in slick modern style with high quality furniture and fixtures.

Short breaks of 2 nights or more are available most of the year except the 5 peak summer holiday weeks.

The situation of this apartment is lovely, overlooking Torbay. There are some lovely walks from the immediate area, along the coast path to nearby coves and through the woods. It is lovely and peaceful, yet within 15 minutes you can walk into Brixham. We did feel there are a few issues to be addressed. Some of the mugs and plates are chipped, and I agree with a previous review that there could be a larger saucepan. The rug was not very clean, and I had to clear out the plughole in the bath which was clogged with hair, and prevented the bath from draining properly - very unpleasant! Some areas of the balcony were slippery, even though when we arrived the weather had been dry. The double bedroom is rather small, which was fine for us as we are both slim, but larger people may find it a bit tight. There is plenty of storage and hanging space.

The apartment is modern and well equipped with furnishings to a high standard. The kitchen had everything needed for preparing meals and the cooker was easy to use, although it would benefit from the addition of a larger pan for cooking pasta. Really appreciated the washing up liquid, dishcloth and tea towels which meant I didn't need to bring any. The bedrooms are compact. The double bed is only small and might be too small for some couples. We used the twin beds but the mattresses aren’t good, and neither was the bedding which was a shame as the rest of the apartment is of such a high standard and we felt this aspect let it down a little. We have fed our comments back to the owners. But having said that, the apartment has everything you need for a lovely holiday. The view from the balcony was fantastic. We spent hours just watching the comings and goings on the bay and seabirds, it was fascinating and very relaxing. I would recommend taking a pair of binoculars. The apartment is very well situated to walk into Brixham, which has everything you need from small supermarkets to independent shops. Try the bakers: 5 Doors Up on Middle Street – he was making the bread in front of you! It was heavenly. The cheese shop on the same road sold some gorgeous local cheeses and the owner was extremely pleasant and helpful, letting us try before we bought! There’s loads of things to do and places to visit and plenty of leaflets in the apartment. The harbour area is lovely with all the pretty garden areas near the marina. There’s a beautiful walk on the SW Coast path through the woods from the apartment to Broadsands Beach where the café/bistro on the front serves wonderful homemade cake and tea. The military museum at Battery Gardens which is just at the entrance to the development is absolutely fascinating. We had a super relaxing quiet holiday and we'll definitely come back again.

Osprey 2 is situated at the far end of the front row of properties on the superb new The Cove development at Fishcombe Cove in Brixham. It's elevated top (2nd) floor position affords magnificent views of the whole of Torbay. The development is next to Battery Park and a 15 minute walk takes you to the pretty Brixham Harbour.
